Paul Moakley is the executive producer of The New Yorker and formerly an Editor-at-Large at TIME. Honing his skills over twenty years at the world’s leading news magazines, he’s evolved as a producer, director, and writer. He’s earned numerous awards and nominations for various roles on multiplatform projects, including an Emmy as a producer and reporter for the interactive project and HBO documentary feature Beyond 9/11: Portraits of Resilience, among others in photography and directing. In 2020, he produced and reported the short documentary, When the News Hits Home, about the trauma reporters faced after the Capital Gazette newsroom shooting, a film featured in the AFI Film Festival.
