Hidden away deep in the suburbs of Los Angeles, legendary cult musician Swamp Dogg, alongside housemates Moogstar and Guitar Shorty, has transformed his home into an artistic playground. Together, they navigate the tumultuous waves of the music industry, and forge a wonderfully bizarre and inspiring path across time and space.

Ryan Olson is a Minneapolis-based producer and founding member of the bands Poliça, Gayngs, and Marijuana Deathsquads. He has collaborated with and yelled at many artists, including Bon Iver, Lizzo, Third Eye Blind, Sid Sriram, and Lambchop. He produced Swamp Dogg’s recent albums Love, Loss & Autotune, Sorry You Couldn’t Make It, and Blackgrass: From West Virginia to 125th St.

Isaac Gale is a filmmaker and musician from Minneapolis, MN. He has directed numerous music videos, documentaries, and experimental short films. His first documentary short, Sweet Crude Man Camp, screened at festivals around the world. He recently directed and edited Eternal September Vol. 1, a feature-length experimental music film made in collaboration with composer William Brittelle, commissioned and presented by the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Swamp Dogg Gets His Pool Painted is his first documentary feature film.
