Paul Farrell, Jr. is a native West Virginian and a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (B.A. 1994) and the West Virginia University College of Law (J.D. 1997). He filed the first public nuisance cases on behalf of local governments against the distributors of prescription opioids. He was appointed Co-Lead of MDL2804 styled In re: National Prescription Opiate Litigation, which has collected more than $50 billion in settlements nationwide to abate the opioid epidemic. Paul was recently awarded the 2023 WVU College of Law Justitia Officium Award, the highest honor bestowed by the law faculty in recognition of outstanding contributions and service to the legal profession. Paul is married to his law school classmate, Jacqueline Farrell, and is the proud father of three children: Connor, Cahley, and Casey. Paul is a founding partner of Farrell & Fuller, LC.
