Robin is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and creative producer. She recently produced ARREST THE MIDWIFE (SXSW 2025, POV/PBS) and SIMPLE AS WATER (Tribeca, HBOMax), which was short-listed for an Oscar for Best Documentary in 2022, nominated for Emmy, Peabody, and IDA Awards, and for which she was nominated for a Producers Guild award. Previously, Robin directed and produced the critically-acclaimed & Peabody Award-winning MY PERESTROIKA (Sundance, POV/PBS), which was a NY Times Critics’ Pick and was released in over 30 countries worldwide. Currently, she is producing SISTER SENATORS and SURVIVAL FLOATING. Robin co-produced several films for PBS, including the Peabody Award-winning TUPPERWARE! During her decade living in Russia, she was the on-site producer for the Russian SESAME STREET and was Director of Documentary Programming for AMFEST.
Robin is a member of the Documentary Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences and a long-time Council on Foreign Relations member. She is a member of the Producers Guild of America, the Television Academy, the Documentary Producers Alliance, Vice President, and a founding board member of the Karen Schmeer Film Editing Fellowship. Robin has been a Sundance Institute Fellow, a MacDowell Colony Fellow, a PBS Producers Academy Fellow, and Filmmaker-in-Residence at WGBH Boston. She graduated from Brown and received her graduate degree in film directing from VGIK – the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow, Russia.
