Jamal Holtz is a native Washingtonian, having grown up in Ward 8 of Washington, DC. Jamal serves as Chief of Staff at LINK Strategic Partners. Jamal helps lead LINK’s executive functions, business development, strategy, and public affairs portfolio and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging work internally and externally. In 2022, Jamal was recognized by the Washington Business Journal as one of the top 25 business leaders under 25 for his work on DEI&B and making an innovative impact in the region.
In a civic capacity, Jamal is a champion for D.C. Statehood and a founder of 51 for 51, a national DC statehood campaign. A grassroots coalition to make D.C. the 51st state with 51 votes in the Senate. An outdated rule in the Senate requiring 60 votes to pass most laws stands in the way of over 700,000 Americans having a voice in Congress. 51 for 51 gained 20 key endorsements for statehood with 51 votes in the Senate, including President Biden, Vice President Harris, and many current U.S. Senators. Jamal works to combine the power of young advocates and national organizations to fight for representation and has been recognized by NPR, the Washington Post, and Teen Vogue as the next-generation statehood leader.
