Emily founded 4EYE Film Center in 2025, a nonprofit arthouse cinema opening this fall in Washington, DC. Dedicated to nurturing creativity, connection, and community through film, 4EYE will be part of a new arts hub located on DC’s Southwest Waterfront.
Prior to 4EYE, Emily led communications and public affairs for the Motion Picture Association, the global advocate for the Hollywood studios. Before joining the MPA in 2019, Emily served as Senior Vice President of Communications for Atlantic Media, overseeing corporate communications and working closely with its publications, including The Atlantic.
Emily’s career in media and communications began at the White House during the first Clinton Administration, where she worked with George Stephanopoulos. She later worked with Stephanopoulos from 2003–2010 at ABC News, where she served as Director of Communications. Earlier in her career, Emily was a local news producer in Seattle before moving into film production and development, most notably working with Diane Keaton.
