A communications strategist, producer, and connector, Emily Lenzner most recently served as Executive Vice President, Global Communications and Public Affairs for the Motion Picture Association. Prior to joining the MPA in 2019, Emily ran communications for Atlantic Media and its portfolio of media companies. Emily’s career in media and communications began as an intern on the photo desk at the Washington Post. From there, she landed at the White House during the first Clinton Administration, working with George Stephanopoulos, with whom she was reunited in 2003 when she joined ABC News to run communications for his Sunday public affairs show, This Week, Nightline, and the larger Washington bureau. She went on to serve as a managing director for public affairs and political consulting firm SKDK, where she managed a variety of national media campaigns for various corporations, non-profit organizations, and advocacy initiatives.
Emily was named in-house PR Professional of the Year by PR Week in 2016 and is a 2016 PR WEEK Top Woman in PR. Emily serves on the board of trustees of the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington and the advisory councils for City Dance and HostageUS.
