
David Hutchinson is a San Diego-based DP and editor who specializes in science and natural history storytelling. He is a team member at Day’s Edge Productions, where his credits include the Emmy-nominated PBS series Human Footprint, San Diego: America’s Wildest City for Nature on PBS, and Miami Wild for Smithsonian Channel. This year, he serves as an instructor at the Jackson Wild Media Lab, a competitive workshop for emerging science and conservation storytellers. Outside of filmmaking, he enjoys running long distances, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and carving linocuts of birds.
