Bailey Johnson is the Washington Capitals beat reporter at The Washington Post, a role she’s held since June 2023. Previously, she spent two years at the Columbus Dispatch, where she started on the high school sports beat before becoming the Columbus Crew (MLS) beat writer and assisting with coverage of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Bailey attended the University of Michigan, where she received her degree in communications and began her journalism career at the student newspaper, the Michigan Daily.
