Every week between 1997 and 2007, Yellowstone Public Radio aired Your Opinion, Please!, an open call for listeners across Montana to pick up the phone and share their views live on-air, without pre-screening or prompting. From debates about the war in Iraq and public land access to local school board disputes and outrage over indoor smoking bans, YOUR OPINION, PLEASE weaves together voices from hundreds of episodes, setting them in conversation against images of present-day Montana—revealing a state grappling with an identity crisis around community, cost of living, and the right to free expression.
