Fifty years ago, THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW burst onto the scene and transformed moviegoing into something you did, not just watched — a campy, sexy, gloriously bizarre midnight ritual that became a sanctuary for misfits, dreamers, and outsiders. For queer audiences especially, it offered something even more powerful: a place to feel completely, gloriously free. Today, that freedom feels more precious — and more fragile — than ever.

In Rock Springs, 25-year-old Kenny Starling has done something audacious: opened the town’s first drag and queer theater company. Their debut production? A shadow cast of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW. TIME WARP follows Kenny and an extraordinary cast as they rehearse, transform, and discover that every performance is equal parts joy and defiance. In a state that calls itself the “Equality State,” Kenny believes his fearless cast — and the audiences who show up — might help make that promise real, if only inside the theater on a Friday night. TIME WARP is a celebration of joyful self-expression, found family, and the radical, timeless act of being yourself.
