When a former Russian spy and his daughter collapse on a park bench, the quiet English city of Salisbury becomes the front line of a hidden war between Russia and the West.

A tense, cinematic portrait of loyalty and betrayal, THE SALISBURY POISONINGS: A SPY NEXT DOOR traces the story of Sergei Skripal, a marked man, and Vladimir Putin, the leader who authorized an attack using the deadly nerve agent Novichok.

Told with unprecedented access to those at the center of the события—including former Prime Minister Theresa May and Home Secretary Amber Rudd, former MI6 and KGB agents, counterterrorism investigators, first responders, and local residents—the film brings together firsthand accounts and investigative reporting. Journalist Christo Grozev reveals how he uncovered the identities of the assassins—and why the story is far from over.

Both a gripping thriller and a geopolitical reckoning, the film reveals the human and international consequences of an attack whose impact continues to reverberate today.
