The couple grapples with the decision to have a child, confronting the profound implications of pregnancy, especially for a woman who feels ambivalent yet is faced with a ticking biological clock. HEARTBEAT explores situations that many couples experience but rarely share, sparking important conversations—particularly in a time when reproductive justice is under attack.
Jay Rosenblatt is an internationally recognized artist and a two-time Academy Award® nominated filmmaker who has completed over thirty-five films. His work explores our emotional and psychological cores. They are personal in their content yet universal in their appeal. A selection of his films had theatrical runs at the Film Forum in New York and at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Stephanie Rapp has played leadership roles in non-profit organizations, philanthropy, and United Nation’s agencies. She has a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing, and has written numerous articles and pieces for magazines, newspapers, and public radio.
