Director

Mark Street

Shot on 35mm analog still film and Super 8, this diaristic work travels from Dublin to Los Angeles, Oklahoma City, and Beloit, Wisconsin, before returning to the filmmaker’s home base in Brooklyn to reflect on a life shaped by rhapsodic, everyday images.

Director, Grazing on Images

Mark Street is a filmmaker and artist who has been creating films, videos, and installations for over 35 years. His work has evolved from tactile, abstract explorations of 16mm film to essayistic studies of urban life and, more recently, improvised feature-length narratives.

His work has been exhibited at institutions including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, as well as in a wide range of unconventional venues. He has screened in programs at Anthology Film Archives, Millennium Film Workshop, and the San Francisco Cinematheque, among others.

Street’s films have been presented at major international festivals including Tribeca, Sundance, Rotterdam, New York, London, Sarajevo, Viennale, Mill Valley, and SXSW. He holds a B.A. from Bard College and an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute.
