In the heart of North Philadelphia, where violence and instability are a daily reality, the Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club offers something rare: a safe haven. Founded by Ellis “El-Dog” and now led by his son Darrin, the club uses the power of horses to teach kids discipline, compassion, and self-worth. At the center are young riders like Aziyah, a recent high school graduate and the first in her family to attend college; brothers Andre and Jigger, raised by a single mom working double shifts; El-Dog’s grandson, who fears riding after a fall but finds peace in caring for the horses; and Najir, a quiet boy from a fractured home searching for connection. As gentrification and aggressive development close in, threatening the land that sustains this community, FLETCHER STREET is a moving portrait of love, mentorship, and horses coming together to change lives one child at a time.
