An intimate, dreamlike, and masterfully crafted portrait of the life, work, and legacy of pioneering feminist experimental filmmaker Barbara Hammer, whose work helped define early lesbian cinema. Tracing her prolific canon alongside never-before-seen documentation of her life and body, the film reveals Hammer’s unconventional attempts to live on—most notably through the extensive archiving of her films. Directed by Brydie O’Connor, this feature expands on the award-winning 2022 short LOVE, BARBARA.
