The 2025 Film Lineup

The third edition of DC/DOX, which took place June 12-15, 2025, included 59 features and 35 shorts from 25 countries, with 12 World Premieres, an International Premiere, two North American Premieres, and two US Premieres. The films highlighted the remarkable breadth and artistry of documentary storytelling today.

Reality Check Forum

The Reality Check Forum, held concurrently with the festival, is a dedicated space for fostering dialogue and collaboration within the documentary film community through a series of panels, workshops, masterclasses, 1:1 sessions and a two-day legal clinic.

Signature Films

The 2025 Signature Films spotlight fearless truth-tellers confronting power and inequality: Amy Goodman’s trailblazing career in independent journalism; a searing exposé of decades of deception behind the Afghanistan War; incarcerated men exposing deadly abuses behind prison walls; and Sarah McBride’s groundbreaking run for Congress as the first openly transgender member. These four films anchor the festival, illuminating the urgent stories and remarkable people shaping our world today.

DC/DOX is dedicated to promoting documentary film as a leading art form, championing new voices and innovations in non-fiction storytelling, and using film as a catalyst to engage the most compelling issues of our time.
